Alleyn Court

Alleyn Court Prep School is a place of wonder and excitement for the students and families who attend — which on the surface may seem like any other prep school.

After diving into the school’s culture it was clear this was true, but a creative concept was needed to showcase this quality in a way that was unlike any other school.

The scene below was a nod to a shot we created for this client a few years before, where they were opening the door in the tree as miniature figures piled out.

In this shoot we flipped it to show the scene from the perspective of inside the tree trunk its self. This posed the challenge of creating a fictional scene out of a regular location (while trying to convince the children that a tennis ball prop was a fairy kingdom inside a tree). For this setup we had to use drills to fashion the imaginary tree stump from branches laying around.

The website stands as an extension of the creative narrative, where the user is led down a unique scroll experience, while discovering about Alleyn Court through engaging content — informed by the social and content strategy.

The homepage scroll experience is designed to take the user on a journey so they feel as if they are discovering the next area and continuing the story. The styling of the website is designed to indulge in the whimsical nature of the school.
